Kurzweil 3000 Reading the Web

  1. Open the Kurzweil program (program may either be found under the start menu or as an icon on desktop or both) and enter a name to identify the user.
  2. Click on the READ menu at the top of the screen, and then select the READ THE WEB option (it is the last option in the menu, and it has a picture of a globe on the left side).
  3. Your web browser should open up automatically. The Kuzweil 3000 program automatically minimizes, and you should see a toolbar at the bottom of your screen. This is called the 'web toolbar'.
  4. Ensure that the internet window is active, and click on the address bar. Type in the address (URL) of the website that you wish to go to.
  5. The text on the website appears on the minimized Kurzweil 3000 screen. You may either read it live on the web or the Kurzweil 3000 screen.
